{"id":210807,"date":"2025-04-03T12:15:07","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T16:15:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gardenandgun.com\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=210807"},"modified":"2025-04-03T12:15:14","modified_gmt":"2025-04-03T16:15:14","slug":"a-crowd-pleasing-porch-punch","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/gardenandgun.com\/recipe\/a-crowd-pleasing-porch-punch\/","title":{"rendered":"A Crowd-Pleasing Porch Punch"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When the chef and comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/gardenandgun.com\/articles\/cutting-chef-duane-nutter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Duane Nutter<\/a> moved in 2016 from his award-winning gig at Atlanta\u2019s One Flew South to open Southern National in Mobile, he discovered that locals had a soft spot for rum. That gave him an idea: \u201cMake some sweet tea, spike it with a little rum, hang out on the porch, and check out my new city.\u201d The recipe has now made its way into his new (and first) cookbook, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/a\/1939\/9781423665564\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cutting Up in the Kitchen<\/a><\/em>.
